Job Description

Estimator

A top restoration company is looking for an Estimator. They need someone who is skilled with writing estimates for both residential and commercial losses.

The ideal candidate will have a reconstruction and mitigation background. Must have experience writing Xactimate estimates. Preferably for both Mitigation & Reconstruction.

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Define project scope, goals for each project assigned and execute.
  • Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and customers in a timely and clear fashion.
  • Estimate reconstruction and mitigation losses using Xactimate.
  • Set and continually manage project expectations with team members.
  • Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
  • Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
  • Plan and schedule project timelines and milestones using appropriate tools.

Job requirements:

  • Solid restoration knowledge
  • Experience writing estimates using Xactimate software
  • Excellent presentation and written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Exceptional customer communication and service skills
  • Ability to sell and present contracts to the client and close deals
  • Knowledge of the property/insurance industry
  • Persuasive, encouraging, and motivating.
